At Orient Light Productions, we’re thrilled to share our first documentary project with the world famous British historian and documentarian Bettany Hughes. We wrapped up the documentary “Wonders of Turkey: Romans Abroad” in 2024, shooting for 4 days in the ancient city of Ephesus in Izmir and the ancient city of Kibyra in Burdur.
We have worked with Sandstone Global Productions in London for this project. We took care of all the local logistics, getting filming permits, and providing local crew members including fixer, drone operator, camera assistant, runner and drivers. The first of a series of documentaries we’ve worked on with Bettany Hughes and Sandstone Global has started airing on BBC News. We’ve got another project coming up in 2025 that’s sure to be exciting!
During those thrilling shoots at Ephesus and Kibyra, we had the chance to see amazing new findings and discoveries, some of which are even being documented for the first time.
